The Bulwagan Foundation Trust, in coordination with Filipino Artists in New Zealand, Inc. and other organisations in New Zealand, is now laying the groundwork for a Philippine Ati-atihan Cultural Show for the Rugby World Cup’s ‘Festival of Carnivale’ in September 2011.

The Festival of Carnivale will be an excellent opportunity for Filipino-Kiwis in Wellinton New Zealand to showcase a colourful aspect of Philippine Culture – the Ati-atihan, during the period of the Rugby World Cup in September-October 2011. It promises to be a sporting event that will be experienced live by both spectators and an estimated 4.2-billion TV viewers around the world!
We therefore encourage all interested members of the Wellington Filipino Community in New ealand to volunteer their services in helping us organise this show. We also need about 100 volunteers to par-ticipate as the ‘ati-atihaneros’ performing on the grounds in this once-in-a-lifetime event. We will also need the services of a good dance instructor to help us choreograph the show. Shining Through – let’s show the world our true colours!
Please register you interest to participate by contacting Didith Tayawa at this mobile number: 027-228-2675, or by sending us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You’ve just got to be there!
